MISSION
Nepal Cancer Care Foundation supports public awareness and pre-cancer screening
VISION
To reduce the burden of cancer and make the screening services accessible to all women of Nepal
Established in 2011 we have been working from our center at Talchikhel with execution of numbers of screening camps across the country.
A founder of this organization Dr. Sarita Ghimire previously working in different cancer hospitals treating cancer patients, working closely with cancer patients for more than a decade, unable to save them, started remaining as a guilt in her mind and witnessing the sorrow, pain and financial hardship every day in hospitals has germinated the concept of establishing an organization that could work preventing this disease particularly focusing to marginalized and underserved population. In a developing country like ours, government focus has always been towards curative with least attention on preventive aspects of disease. With the strong feeling that preventive part of the only preventive cancer, cervical cancer is highly overshadowed. This need was felt by her to establish an institution which can promote preventive activity in the community as well as advocate for the policies. Her vision was to establish this organization for elimination of cervical cancer from Nepal working closely with community people. The foundation of this organization is laid on the concept of prevention is better than cure. During the research and investigation phase, her friends forwarded to join in hand (mentioned below in the Executive Members table). The foundation of this non-profit organization was then laid by the joint effort of all the executive members of NCCF and is running under her direct supervision & guidance.
The mission of this organization is to provide screening services for disadvantaged and marginalized women in equitable manner and to reach unreachable population of community.
- We at NCCF are working towards the elimination of cervical cancer with effective detection of the pre-cancer state of the cervix by using tools such as HPV DNA test, VIA, Colposcopy and Biopsy
- We have been working from our center at Talchikhel with execution of numbers of screening camps across the country
- We truly believe with proper awareness programs and screening, we will be able to eradicate cervical cancer from the country

- We are conducting various awareness programs throughout the country including camps in rural areas of Nepal
